Just like how chronic illnesses such as diabetes or high blood pressure need to be managed through regular doctor visits, chronic eye issues such as dry eyes and glaucoma need to be managed with regular visits to your eye doctor.

These visits are problem-based and address specific problems that are you currently having. The most common issues seen are dry eyes, allergies, and itchy eyes. Your symptoms can sometimes be debilitating, but rest assured that we will do our best to figure out a treatment regimen that fits into your life.

At these visits, additional diagnostic testing may be performed to help us diagnose and arrive to an appropriate treatment plan. A comprehensive eye exam can take an hour or more, depending on the number and complexity of tests required to fully evaluate your vision and the health of your eyes.

Some of the common conditions that we manage and/or treat:

  • Glaucoma
  • Macular degeneration
  • Diabetic retinopathy
  • Dry eyes
  • Allergic conjunctivits – eye allergies
  • Pink eye
  • Red eye
  • Foreign body removal
  • Amblyopia – “lazy eye”

If you have any questions about the tests we may perform during a medical exam, don’t hesitate to contact us today.
